Rømø Golf Links is an 18-hole championship course located on the island of Rømø in Denmark, situated behind the dyke directly adjacent to the Wadden Sea and the North Sea. The course is built on reclaimed seabed, resulting in a landscape that is exceptionally flat, allowing for panoramic views of the entire course from a single vantage point. The terrain sits between contour levels 2 and 4, making the area generally accessible while maintaining the characteristics of a traditional Scottish links layout. The design incorporates numerous lakes, streams, and waterways that define the routing, alongside contoured greens that add technical complexity to the play. The difficulty of the course is heavily influenced by daily wind conditions, a typical trait of links golf. Despite the flat topography, the water hazards and green complexes provide a significant challenge, though the low elevation keeps the course manageable for a wide range of handicaps. Notable features include the 6th and 14th tee boxes, which offer direct views across the Wadden Sea and the North Sea. From these positions, golfers can also see the Danish mainland and the neighboring island of Sylt. These vantage points highlight the unique coastal setting of the club, which is protected by the dyke from the open sea. The club hosts an annual tournament known as the Rømø Open, which concludes with a final round on the first Sunday of October. The course is managed by Rømø Golfklub, which maintains the facility as a links-style course that balances the inherent challenges of wind and water with the open, forgiving nature of its reclaimed land.
