Plymouth Country Club is a 9-hole course located in Plymouth, North Carolina that features 3,106 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by William S. Flynn, the course opened in 1937. Ellis Maples and Dick Wilson supervised the construction of the course and tweaked Flynn's design slightly. The fairways are lined with many old oak trees and tall pine trees, with dogwoods scattered around the course.
The course is playable but challenging, simplistic in design but does not give up much, and is not tricked up though golfers cannot easily score. The course is challenging due to its length and small bent grass greens, however it is very playable for any golfer. Built on sand hills which allows excellent drainage, the course can be played in the wettest weather conditions with 90% of the course not having cart path only rules.
