Pineridge Golf Resort is a 12-hole, par-48 public course located on 153 acres of treed parkland near the western tip of Lake Wabamun in Alberta, approximately 45 minutes west of Edmonton. Opened in 1972, it holds the distinction of being Alberta’s first 12-hole golf course. The layout is characterized by a traditional parkland design framed by mature spruce trees, offering a balanced mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s. The course is designed to be walkable, though GPS-equipped power carts are available for play. The course provides a full-length experience that fits modern schedules, with a typical round lasting between three and three and a half hours on weekends. While the original design dates back to the early 1970s, the facility has undergone steady improvements and refinements over the decades to maintain challenging course conditions and preserve the traditions expected by golfers. The setting integrates the golf course with a larger resort community, situated alongside Lake Wabamun. Pineridge Golf Resort hosts various leagues and programs, including a Wednesday Ladies League and a Men’s Night League, alongside junior golf camps and spring warm-up clinics. The facility also accommodates corporate tournaments and partnerships. The course is managed as part of a broader resort community that includes RV lot ownership and seasonal site leasing, with the golf operations serving as the central anchor for the area's recreational activities.
