Pine Trace Golf Club

Pine Trace Golf Club is a public golf course in Rochester Hills, Michigan, that opened in 1989 and established itself as a standard for public golf in the Metro Detroit area. The course is currently undergoing a major renovation project with an anticipated reopening in Spring 2026.

The renovation scope includes comprehensive improvements to the tees, greens, fairways, cart paths, drainage, and irrigation systems. The driving range is being relocated to create an enhanced practice facility. The course was designed to provide a high-quality golfing experience and aims to reestablish itself as a leader in public golf in the region following its 35-year operational period.

Pine Trace is part of a larger golf operation that includes sister courses at Shepherd's Hollow in Clarkston and Cherry Creek in Shelby Township, allowing golfers to play at alternate venues during the renovation period. The club is also expanding its offerings to include a banquet venue as part of its modernization efforts.
