Parcours 'Le Lion'
Course Information
Address:
Brabant wallon
Belgium
The Lion is a nine-hole golf course located at the Royal Waterloo Golf Club in Ohain, Lasne, Belgium. Originally established as the "D" course, it was remodeled and completed with an additional nine holes to form the current layout, distinct from the club's other nine-hole "C" course which became the Bois-Héros. The course is part of a 45-hole facility designed by the renowned British architects Fred Hawtree and his son, who also designed the club's flagship 18-hole Marache course. The Lion is classified as a competition course, allowing members and visitors to play full rounds for scoring purposes, unlike the Bois-Héros which is currently restricted from competition play. The course is accessible via manual trolleys, electric trolleys, and buggies, providing flexibility for golfers of varying preferences and mobility needs. It is situated within the club's 140-hectare estate in the Brabant Wallonia region, close to the historic Waterloo battlefield. The Lion shares practice facilities with the rest of the club, including approach greens and putting greens dedicated to its play. The course is open year-round, subject to weather conditions, and is available for play by visitors who have made prior reservations.
