Panya Indra Golf Club is a 27-hole championship-standard facility located on Ramindra Road in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1989 by renowned designer Ronald Fream, the course covers over 800 rai and is divided into three distinct nine-hole layouts: the Lagoon, the Palm, and the Garden. The club operates six days a week, offering night golf from Tuesday to Saturday, and features a driving range and a classic-style clubhouse. The Lagoon course is defined by its lakeside setting, with expansive waters surrounding the fairways. It presents a mix of par-3s, par-4s, and par-5s, with yardages ranging from 2,803 yards on the red tees to 3,608 yards on the blue tees. The opening hole, a par-4, challenges players with water on the left and a fairway bunker on the right. The course features significant water hazards, including a par-3 that requires a mid-to-long iron over water to a large green, and a par-5 where a small green is guarded by a front bunker. The Palm course is lined with palm trees and offers a total yardage of 2,585 to 3,652 yards depending on the tees. This layout includes a long par-5 opening hole with a large water hazard running alongside the fairway up to the green. The course features challenging par-4s and par-5s, with holes like the 18th testing players under pressure with a sloping front green and well-placed bunkers. Fairway bunkers and water hazards are strategically placed throughout, requiring precise approach shots to multi-tiered greens. The Garden course immerses golfers in a natural setting with lush greenery. With yardages ranging from 2,540 to 3,501 yards, it features a variety of hole lengths and difficulties. The course includes a par-3 that requires disciplined distance control to avoid bunkers and trees, and a par-5 where water in front of the green limits the benefit of a long drive. Large bunkers penalize errant tee shots on several par-4s, while water hazards and tiered greens add complexity to the approach shots. The course is designed to offer a calm and relaxing environment while still providing a test for golfers of all skill levels.
