Palo Duro Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation course owned by the City of Canyon and is located in the Hunsley Hills addition of Canyon, Texas. The course is a par-72 layout with a variety of tees to play ranging from 5,800 yards to 6,900 yards depending on ability. Henry Hughes designed the course in 1959. The course is located a scenic 10-minute drive from Amarillo.

Water from the Palo Duro Creek comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes. Out-of-bounds squeezes the narrow fairways on most holes on the front nine as it winds through a residential community. The greens feature fast, undulating bent-grass surfaces. Notable holes include two challenging par 5s: the 549-yard No. 5 plays uphill into the prevailing wind, and No. 12 plays almost 600 yards with a tee shot through a chute of trees. Another tough hole is No. 14, a 225-yard par 3 that requires a solid shot to carry the water. The course is recognized as one of the most playable, yet challenging courses in the Texas panhandle.
