Palmetto Hills Golf Club, established in 1979 and originally known as "The Widowmaker," is a challenging 18-hole course designed by renowned architect George Cobb, who also designed Augusta National's Par-3 course and Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina. Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the course stretches 6,190 yards at par 72 with a slope rating of 128 and course rating of 70.3.

The layout features significant elevation changes and rolling hills that demand strategic play and varied shot-making from different lies. The course is characterized by Bermuda grass fairways and undulating Champion Bermuda grass greens. The signature 14th hole exemplifies the course's difficulty—a downhill par 3 playing 180 yards from the championship tees with a 50-foot elevation drop and a creek guarding the front and right side of the green.

Palmetto Hills presents a substantial test of golf for players of all skill levels, rewarding precision and course management throughout the round.
