Overbrook Golf Club ☆ Follow

Overbrook Golf Club, founded in 1900, is located on 128 rolling acres in Villanova, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia Main Line. The 18-hole course is a parkland-style layout measuring 6,575 yards with a par of 70. The course was designed by J.B. McGovern with later modifications by Tom Clark (1964) and William S. Flynn. The current course at its present location opened in 1952, with McGovern designing the layout after being recommended by the legendary Donald Ross.

The course emphasizes shotmaking and precision, with delicate placement proving more important than length on its hilly landscape. The clubhouse, constructed in 1913, is recognized as one of the finest examples of French Loire Valley Chateau architecture in the Philadelphia area. Overbrook's men's and women's golf teams are members of both the USGA and PGA, with members participating in interclub matches each spring as well as local and regional amateur championships.
