Ole Monterey Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Roanoke, Virginia featuring 6,712 yards from the longest tees with a par of 71, a course rating of 70.3, and a slope rating of 116. The course was designed by Frederick A. Findlay and opened in 1925. Located within the city limits of Roanoke, the course offers views of downtown Roanoke, Mill Mountain Star, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ole Monterey is the only public golf course in the Roanoke Valley and features well-maintained small greens, tight fairways, five sets of tees, and out of bounds areas that provide a challenge for players of all skill levels.
The course contains some hills that can cause uneven lies but has no water hazards. Ole Monterey has hosted the Roanoke Valley Open, an annual invitational tournament in the 1960s, and Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer played friendly matches at the course during that era.
