Established in 1984, the Odawara Golf Club Nichido Gotemba Course is an 18-hole layout designed by Ichikawa Landscaping Civil Engineering Co., Ltd. The course is located in Gotemba, Shizuoka, positioned to offer views of Mount Fuji. It plays to a par 72, with yardages varying by tee. The back tees from the A green measure 6,242 yards, while the B green back tees extend to 6,051 yards. Regular tees from the A green play 5,883 yards, and the B green regular tees measure 5,692 yards. The terrain is characterized by significant elevation changes, including uphill and downhill shots, as well as valleys that require players to carry hazards. The course features two distinct greens, designated A and B, which affect the scoring difficulty and yardage. The back tees on the A green yield a course rating of 70.5, while the B green back tees rate at 69.6. The regular tees on the A green have a rating of 69.1, and the B green regular tees rate at 68.2. The fourth hole stands as the most challenging on the front nine, marked as handicap 1. This par 5 requires a downhill tee shot over a valley, with a lateral water hazard on the left. The second shot is an uphill approach to a raised green, making it a demanding test for players. The first hole is a long par 5 that slopes gently downward, with out-of-bounds running along the right side, requiring precise driving to avoid penalties. The front nine includes a series of demanding par 3s. The third hole is a 207-yard uphill par 3 over a 9-to-10-meter valley, with a lateral water hazard and a designated drop area for errant shots.
