Oakview Golf Club, now operating as Slippery Rock Golf Club & Events Center, is an 18-hole semi-private course located near Slippery Rock in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The course features 7,230 yards from the longest tees with a par of 73, a course rating of 75.3, and a slope rating of 139. Designed by golf course architect Wynn Tredway and opened in 1957, the layout combines mature trees and rolling hills to create varied playing conditions across both nines.

The course has an interesting history, originally opening in 1928 as a nine-hole track called Slippery Rock Golf Course. The back nine was designed and added by Tredway in the 1940s following his purchase of the property in 1945. The course was subsequently owned by Armco Steel from 1957 to 2004, where it served primarily as an employee facility. Conveniently located minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and major routes, the facility has evolved to include a driving range, pro shop, banquet hall, and on-site dining.

The course is playable for golfers of all skill levels through multiple tee boxes. The back nine is noted for its scenic character with wooded fairways and elevation changes, while the overall layout features water hazards, bunkers, bluegrass fairways, and bent grass greens. The course maintains a reputation for solid conditions and reasonable green fees while offering a challenging but fair test of golf.
