Located in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, just east of Madison along I-94, The Oaks Golf Course is a public, par-71 facility designed by architect Greg Martin. The course is set on a 168-acre property that was originally a dairy and crop farm, now featuring over 250 mature oak trees. The layout plays from 5,615 to 6,763 yards, with a unique hole distribution that includes six par 3s, five par 5s, and only seven par 4s. The fairways, tees, and greens are all bentgrass, complemented by thick rough and true-rolling surfaces. Martin’s design emphasizes a fair round within a natural setting, utilizing creative bunkering and wide landing areas to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. The course features uniquely sloped greens and water hazards that test accuracy. The property’s rolling terrain and mature tree cover provide a distinct landscape that blends with the surrounding environment. The facility also includes an indoor golf simulator and an event center with views of the course.
