The West Course at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond features 18 holes, 6,752 yards of golf, and plays to a par of 70. The course was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1977. Located across Kelly Road east of Oak Tree National, Oak Tree Country Club is a 36-hole facility in the affluent city of Edmond, just north of Oklahoma City. The West Course offers a moderately challenging layout characterized by plenty of bunkers and water hazards. The driving corridors are generous with the exception of a couple of tree-lined par fours early on the inward nine, but the course features a multitude of bunkering throughout and liberal use of periphery greenside mounding, making offline approaches lead to awkward stances and angles.

The treacherous 8th hole features a pond-guarded green and railroad tie retaining wall that showcase Dye's mastery of creating both visually stunning and demanding challenges. The 14th hole is a 174-yard par 3 with water on the left side of the green and artificial mounding on the right side and in the back. The 9th hole is a 393-yard par 4 where players have little idea what to expect as a large pond resting in front consumes the majority of the foreground, and upon clearing the water, players are presented with an Alps hill in front of the green enhanced by spectacle bunkers. The West Course plays approximately two strokes softer than the East Course, making it accessible to golfers of varying skill levels while maintaining strategic interest.
