Oak Hills Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club that was established in 1926, nestled among mature oak trees and rolling hills in Ada, Oklahoma. The 18-hole course features a par of 72 with yardage of 6,518 from the white tees and 6,753 from the blue tees, with a course rating of 73 and slope of 128. The course was designed by renowned architect Perry Maxwell, known for his influential designs in Oklahoma and across the United States.
The layout features the first four holes playing counter clockwise making interesting use of both hills and creek, with the next five holes clockwise around the outside, and notably no two holes play in the same direction because of the winds. Maxwell's design philosophy created opportunities for players to hit fairways and greens with lower flight shots, with bunkering brought to the side to catch wayward shots rather than penalizing short hitters. The course is characterized by challenging greens and scenic beauty typical of south-central Oklahoma terrain.
