Numazu Kokusai Country Club is a 27-hole facility located in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, situated in the foothills of Mount Fuji with views of the Suruga Bay. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the Fuji Course, the Hakone Course, and the Amagi Course. The layout is characterized as a strategic hilly course that utilizes a two-green system, where each hole features two separate greens (labeled A and B) to provide varied playing angles and challenges. The Fuji Course is described as the longest and most demanding of the three, requiring distance and toughness from golfers. It features a par 36 with a back tee yardage of 3,408 yards. The course design includes significant elevation changes and strategic bunkering, with the 8th hole serving as a short par 3 measuring 180 yards from the back tees. The Hakone Course offers a contrasting experience, characterized as a flatter layout with a par 36 and a back tee yardage of 3,358 yards. This loop is noted for its tricky greens and distinctive par 3 holes, including the 12th, which measures just 190 yards from the back tees. The design emphasizes precision over power, providing a strategic challenge that differs from the length found on the Fuji loop. The Amagi Course rounds out the 27 holes with a par 36 and a back tee yardage of 3,207 yards. It is described as a dynamic and thrilling course with good scenery, featuring valley crossings and strategic elements. The loop includes a demanding 6th hole, a 520-yard par 5 from the back tees, and an 8th hole that measures 538 yards. All three courses are played on fifth-generation creeping bentgrass (Triple Seven 777), offering fast and smooth green speeds. The facility is equipped with remote-control electric carts and GPS navigation systems for distance measurement and course video confirmation.
