New Richmond Golf Club is located 30 miles northeast of St. Paul in northwestern Wisconsin. The Old Course spans 173 acres and features a 6,713-yard layout with a slope rating of 136, offering a challenging yet scenic experience. The Willow River plays a prominent role in the course design, flowing through holes #4, #5, and #7—the club's version of "Amen Corner"—adding strategic water hazards alongside sand bunkers and mature trees.
The course is characterized by rolling landscape, flowerbeds, and meticulously maintained turf that balances difficulty with aesthetic appeal. The Joe Swanda Learning Center, opened in 2007 and voted "Best Practice Facility" in Western Wisconsin, complements the course with 32 hitting stations spanning 320 yards, an 8,000-square-foot putting green, a 4,000-square-foot practice putting green, and a practice bunker. The club celebrates over 100 years of operation and welcomes both members and public golfers.
