New Castle Country Club is located in New Castle, Pennsylvania about sixty miles north of Pittsburgh. A.W. Tillinghast designed the New Castle Field Club in 1923. The 18-hole course has a par of 72 and plays to 6,657 yards from the back tees. This 18-hole course remains largely unchanged since its creation. The golf course was originally designed by world-famous golf architect A.W. Tillinghast and the layout includes all of his trademark features of great greens and fairways, coupled with the perfect blend of risk and reward.

Tillinghast is revered for such famous designs as Baltusrol, Winged Foot, and the San Francisco Club; hosts to many of golf's premiere events. The course has a tremendous layout that takes full advantage of the rolling terrain and creek that runs through the property. In July of 2007, New Castle Country Club was honored to be placed at #50 on John Garrity's Top 50 Courses in the World. NCCC shared this honor with such remarkable courses as Pebble Beach and Augusta National.

The greens are very fast, undulating and sloped. The #5 hole, a 592-yard par-5, is the #1 handicap hole on the course. In recent decades, the Club has had the honor of the best greens one year and the best fairways another year in Western Pennsylvania.
