National Golf Links was designed by Jody Kinney and opened in 1995 as a family-owned 9-hole course, expanding to 18 holes in 2000. The course features 7,200 yards from the championship tees to 5,100 yards from the red tees, with a par of 72. The course rating is 74.2 with a slope rating of 138, presenting a moderately challenging layout for golfers of varying abilities.

The links-style course provides a natural setting with rolling hills, creeks and ponds which gives it a European feel. The thick, lush fairways are a blue grass-rye combination and the large bent grass greens are undulated and true. Many of the holes are open and subjected to prevailing winds, while others are narrow. The layout features lush, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens framed by strategically placed bunkers, with water hazards coming into play several times throughout the course.

Located in South Charleston, Ohio, National Golf Links operates as a public facility with practice amenities including a driving range and practice greens. The course has not hosted major tournaments but remains a regional option known for its distinctive links-style architecture and scenic setting in southwestern Ohio.
