Located in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya Green Country Club is a 27-hole facility set within a landscape of green mountains and large trees. The course opened in October 1973, initially as an 18-hole layout, and was expanded to 27 holes in 1985. The facility features Bentgrass greens and is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the East, Central, and South courses. The layout is designed to offer a strategic challenge for golfers of all levels, with the terrain providing moderate undulations and a flat, strategic flow that encourages thoughtful play. The East Course is characterized by moderate undulation and requires accuracy, while the Central and South courses feature fewer ups and downs, making them easier on the cart and offering a flatter strategic experience. The total yardage for the 27 holes varies by tee box, with the back tees reaching approximately 9,947 yards and a total par of 108. Specific hole yardages range from short par-3s, such as the 175-yard 3rd on the Central Course, to long par-5s like the 531-yard 9th on the South Course. Several holes are designated as "Near Pin" or "Drive for Pin" recommended spots, adding specific strategic nuances to the round. The club's history is tied to the opening of the Nittak Green Road, which inspired the club's name. The original design theme focused on "Green, Sun, and Family," with the clubhouse architecture modeled after Gassho-zukuri farmhouses to evoke a sense of Japanese heart and tranquility. The course has maintained a reputation for well-managed turf and a relaxed atmosphere, aiming to provide a satisfying golf experience for both members and visitors.
