Mtunzini Country Club is located 140 kilometres north of Durban in the rolling hills of Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal. Established in 1958 and SAGA-affiliated, the club features an 18-hole golf course with a par of 71 and a total length of 5,532 yards from the men's tees. The course can also be played as 9 holes and is situated on sloping terrain with significant elevation changes throughout.

The course's characteristic setting features indigenous vegetation flanking the fairways, including coastal dune forests and thick jungle-like rough. The layout demands accurate tee shots to avoid losing balls in the dense bushland. The course overlooks the Umlalazi Estuary and offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Wildlife inhabitants include duikers and numerous bird species, creating a natural, scenic playing environment.
