Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club ☆ Follow

Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club is a Tom Fazio designed golf course reserved for play solely by 350 equity golf members, their families and invited guests. The course is an 18-hole layout with a par of 70 and measures 7,099 yards. Located in Cashiers in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the course flows seamlessly with the natural topography and takes full advantage of the dramatic terrain, majestic hardwoods, natural springs and sweeping views.

The Tom Fazio design was blasted from solid rock, with some holes such as the par-4 sixth forged through slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains and edged by a 30-foot-high wall of granite. The opening tee shot drops 100 feet, and six holes play over a deep gorge formed by Hurricane Creek. The course balances challenge and strategy with playability.

The course ranks 116th in Golf Digest's 2025-'26 100 Greatest Golf Courses ranking, has been ranked in the Top 5 in North Carolina from 2011-'26, and Top 10 since 2009.
