The Miyazaki Lakeside Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course located in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Designed by Minoru Takito, the course spans 1.1 million square meters and opened in April 1991. It is situated on a vast expanse of land overlooking the Hyuga Sea, utilizing the natural landscape of ponds and forests in its layout. The course is designed to offer a full golfing experience for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced golfers. The layout is characterized by a high number of holes featuring ponds, requiring precise ball control. The front nine encourages a defensive approach, while the back nine invites more aggressive play, particularly on long par-5s where birdie opportunities are available for those willing to take risks. The course features specific yardages and slope ratings for various tees, including the Back 9, Middle 9, and Front 9 configurations. Key characteristics of the course include specific hole recommendations for different playing styles. The 4th and 8th holes are noted for their precision requirements, while the 6th hole is highlighted for distance. On the back nine, the 11th and 15th holes demand accuracy, whereas the 14th hole is recommended for powerful drives. The course allows cart access on the fairways only when accompanied by a caddie, who typically operates the cart; self-play requires carts to remain on designated roads for safety. Miyazaki Lakeside Golf Club has a history of hosting regional and national tournaments. It has served as a venue for the Miyazaki Daily Shimbun Senior Golf Championship, the Kyushu Amateur and Mid-Senior Championship qualifiers, and the Kyushu Open Golf Championship. The course also hosted the Ladies Asian Golf Tour's first Miyazaki Women's Open in 2012, as well as multiple editions of the Miyazaki Open and the Inter Club Championship Miyazaki Prefecture qualifiers.
