Merit Club

Merit Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located on 320 acres in Libertyville, Illinois. The course is designed to provide a challenging yet fair test for golfers of all skill levels, blending playability with difficulty. Set within native oak savannas, prairies, and wetlands preserved by conservation easement, the layout showcases natural terrain featuring approximately 100 feet of elevation change across the property, with distinctive holes incorporating hills, streams, and ponds.

The course features championship-level practice facilities spanning nine acres, including three practice holes, dual-sided driving range tee areas, and putting greens. The 20,000 square-foot clubhouse includes a contemporary upscale grill with two dining areas overlooking the 18th hole, men's and women's locker rooms, a golf shop, and a library. A flagstone terrace provides sweeping views of the surrounding prairie landscape.

Merit Club has hosted significant USGA tournaments, including the 55th Women's Open in 2000 and the 2016 UL International Crown Championship. The club operates as an exclusive golf-only membership facility designed by passionate golfers to create an invigorating environment combining sporting challenge with natural beauty and social fellowship.
