The Melrose Golf Course is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature design located on Daufuskie Island near Hilton Head, South Carolina, accessible only by ferry. The course features 7,081 yards with a par of 72, a course rating of 74.2, and a slope rating of 140, presenting a challenging layout for skilled golfers while remaining accessible to players of all abilities.

The course winds through diverse natural terrain including oceanfront property, salt and fresh marshes, live oaks, mature pines, magnolias, and hardwoods. A notable characteristic is the routing of the final three holes directly along the Atlantic Ocean, offering scenic views across Calibogue Sound toward Hilton Head Island and Savannah. Water hazards and wetlands feature prominently in the middle stretch, particularly in the par-4 seventh hole and surrounding holes, creating what has been termed an "Amen Corner" that requires precision shot-making.

Melrose has experienced a turbulent operational history, closing in 2019 after previous challenges and undergoing renovation. The course is currently scheduled for full reopening in summer 2026.
