The 18-hole golf course was designed by Donald Ross and William Flynn, situated in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania at 201 N Lynn Blvd. The course stretches across 4,600 yards of tumultuous landscape with tiny, sophisticated greens, most framed with bunkers, and a series of interactions with Cobbs Creek. The course is set on hilly terrain with numerous blind shots, focusing on the short game with small green complexes surrounded by bunkers and undulating slopes, utilizing hills effectively for drop shots, elevated tee shots and shots to uphill areas.
The course began as a nine-hole layout designed by Donald Ross with short par 3s that opened in June 1919, followed by a nine-hole course designed by William Flynn consisting of par 3s and short par 4s that opened in 1923, ultimately reaching 18 holes in 1935. It is a private club established in 1912, originally created for PECO Company employees and their families. The complex sits on 77 acres of manicured greenery with a late 1800s estate home as the clubhouse.
