Windsor Park Golf Course is a public 18-hole facility located in Durban, South Africa, situated off Masabalala Yengwa Avenue (formerly NMR Avenue). The course is maintained by Leitch Landscapes, a firm with experience managing renowned venues such as Zimbali and Wild Coast Sun. Established in 1933, the club originally operated from a clubhouse behind the 15th green, which served as the 18th green at that time. The layout has undergone significant changes over the decades, including the construction of a council clubhouse behind the 10th tee in the 1970s, before the current club building was erected in 1996 overlooking the 18th green. The course is described as extremely challenging, particularly from the championship tees, requiring careful course management to maintain low scores. It is laid out next to the Umgeni River and features plenty of trees and water hazards designed to keep players focused. The layout is noted for its excitement and strategic demands, with the difficulty level increasing significantly for advanced players utilizing the back tees. Athlone Golf Club, which occupies the Windsor Park course, hosts weekly competitions including a club championship every Saturday. The facility also supports the Brian Angel School on Tuesdays and an afternoon "Chicken Run" nine-hole competition on Fridays, which serves as a warm-up for the weekend events. The course neighbours the Durban Country Club and has a long history of community engagement and competitive play since its inception in the early 20th century.
