Macoby Run Golf Course is an 18-hole course located in upper Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, built on historically farmed land. The course opened progressively, beginning with 9 holes in September 1990, expanding to 12 holes shortly after, and reaching its full 18-hole configuration by spring 1991. Founded by Floyd Hersh, a former farmer turned golf enthusiast, the course utilizes the property's naturally rolling terrain and woodlands.
The front nine features 138 feet of elevation change with hills and trees creating significant challenge, while the back nine offers slightly less hilly terrain with more open fairways. Notable design elements include varied green designs, with the two-tier green on hole 3 standing out as a distinctive putting challenge. The course is maintained to country club standards and offers a mix of difficulty suitable for all skill levels. Amenities include a practice range adjacent to the first tee, cart availability, and The Wetlands Bar & Restaurant on-site for dining and post-round activities. The course accommodates tournaments, outings, and special events.
