Little Bear Golf Club is a public, 11-hole golf course located in Lewis Center, Ohio. The course was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and opened in 2007. Rather than the traditional nine or 18 holes, Little Bear has an 11-hole layout with a 'front five' and 'back five' along with a challenging additional hole that features an island green. The golf course was intentionally designed for those looking for a quick 40-minute round, perhaps after lunch or work. A bare soybean field was transformed into a rolling landscape with three large lakes, a meandering stream, and a stone waterfall, with over 1,000 trees and several sand bunkers also incorporated into the layout. The bonus hole is a replica of a hole at the famed TPC Sawgrass.
The newly renovated, state-of-the-art synthetic turf greens and tee boxes absorb shots and make the golf game enjoyable for everyone. The course is a walking-only course, with pull carts available for rental. Little Bear Golf Club offers a unique concept, it is the first layout of its kind in the country. Beyond the par-3 golf course, Little Bear Golf Club also offers a 18 hole Disc Golf Course and a state-of-the-art 18 hole, professional mini golf course.
