Linville Land Harbor Golf Club

Linville Land Harbor Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private course located in Linville, North Carolina, set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The layout consists of two distinctly different nines: the front nine opened in June 1972, while the back nine was completed a decade later under the direction of Ernie Hayes, the course's first manager and superintendent.

The course features varied terrain that challenges all aspects of player skill while rewarding accuracy throughout. Notable holes include Hole 7, a picturesque par 3 offering views of Grandfather Mountain, and Hole 17 on the back nine, nicknamed "Ernie's Revenge." The front nine flows with the native terrain, while the back nine presents different strategic challenges with dramatic elevation changes, including several downhill and uphill holes that add distance variance to shot-making.

The course incorporates strategic bunkering, water hazards, and undulating greens that increase in complexity and severity across the layout. Holes range from short par 4s designed for accuracy over length to par 5s that reward well-placed drives with birdie opportunities.
