Oyster Bay Golf Links is a par 70 course playing under 6,400 yards, designed by Dan Maples who transformed a pristine stretch of Carolina marshland into a course celebrated for its creativity, challenge, and beauty. Opened in 1983, Oyster Bay was one of the first courses to put the North Strand on the national golf map, and was voted the 1983 Golf Digest "Resort Course of the Year," and ranked by the same publication among the top 50 public courses in the country in 1990. Located just minutes north of Myrtle Beach, Oyster Bay offers the perfect combination of golf, coastal scenery, and small-town charm in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.

The course features cavernous bunkers, wickedly undulating greens and lengthy par 4's that make it a true test of one's mettle. Oyster Bay features two island greens, marsh-oriented holes, rolling fairways with generous landing areas and sizeable undulating greens. One signature hole is #13, a 330-yard par 4, featuring a lake that skirts the entire right side of the fairway, and the other signature hole is #17, a 165-yard par 3, requiring a tee shot from an oyster shell-walled tee box to an island green built on a mountain of shells.

Its creative routing through marshland, moss-draped oaks, and tidal creeks makes it as visually impressive as it is challenging. Golf Digest rated Oyster Bay 4.5 stars in "Places to Play" and ranked it "Best New Resort Course of the Year". The course is known for two island green par 3s, including one of the most photographed holes in the region, elevated tees and greens with bold contouring, tidal marshes and freshwater lakes that frame numerous holes, and wildlife sightings including gators, egrets, and osprey.
