Laurel Links Country Club

Course Information Unclaimed

Laurel Links Country Club is an 18-hole private golf course measuring 6,813 yards with a slope rating of 136, designed by Kelly Blake Moran. The course is located on 225 acres of farmland nestled between Main Road and Peconic Bay in Laurel, a small hamlet on the North Fork of eastern Long Island. The course opened for play in fall 2002 and features various risk-reward strategies in its design, with natural breezes off nearby waters adding to the challenge.

The course presents a beautiful links-style layout with inviting fairways, though approach shots and green areas are quite challenging, and is playable for all levels despite typically resulting in higher scores. The 17th hole is one of the most distinctive, measuring 536 yards as a hard dogleg-left over a pond, with a Road Hole-inspired green and strategic bunkering. The 18th hole was selected by the Metropolitan Golf Association as one of its "Modern Dream 18" holes.

The club has hosted noteworthy tournaments including the Long Island Regional U.S. Open Qualifying Tournament (2007 and 2009), the Met Section PGA Head Professional Championship (2007), and the Long Island Golf Association Stroke Play Championship (2008). The course also hosted the 2017 Met Amateur Championship.
