Lakewood Golf Course

Lakewood Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 course established in 1925, located in Madison, Maine, in the upper Kennebec Valley near Skowhegan. The front nine features classic links-style design from the original 1920s construction as part of the Lakewood Colony summer resort, while the back nine, designed by Phil Wogan and completed in 1995, offers parkland-style holes carved through Maine's dense woods.

Playing to 6,279 yards, the course presents a balanced challenge suitable for golfers of all skill levels. A notable feature is Maine's only par 6 hole. The landscape is characterized by white pines and mountain views, creating scenic vistas throughout the round. The course has been recognized by Golf Digest as a "hidden gem" offering challenging yet playable holes.
