Lakewood Country Club is an 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course located minutes from downtown Denver with stunning Rocky Mountain views. Originally established in 1908 by prominent architect Tom Bendelow as a nine-hole course, it was redesigned in 1916 by Donald Ross, a legendary Golden Age architect, making it one of only four Ross-designed courses in Colorado. The course features classic Scottish design elements including strategic bunkering, undulating greens, and risk-and-reward scenarios characteristic of Ross's work.

In 2017, the course underwent a comprehensive restoration by Gil Hanse, designer of the Rio 2016 Olympic golf course, returning it to its 1916 grandeur while incorporating contemporary challenges for modern players. Named one of the PGA's "Best in the West" and ranked among the PGA's Top 100 courses, Lakewood offers an elite, challenging layout suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The club has hosted notable golfers including Mildred "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias and maintains one of Denver's most active golf programs with tournaments, clinics, and instruction.
