Lake Hefner Golf Club consists of two 18-hole courses located in Oklahoma City. The North Course measures 6,970 yards from the back tees with a par of 72 and a course rating of 73.7. The South Course plays at 6,283 yards with a par of 70 and a course rating of 70.2. The North Course was originally designed by Perry Maxwell and opened in 1951, later undergoing a comprehensive redesign by Randy Heckenkemper in 1994. The South Course was designed by Floyd Farley and opened in 1964.
The courses sit along the south side of Lake Hefner just west of downtown Oklahoma City. Both courses are characterized by water hazards as well as bunkered fairways and greens. The original Maxwell design featured tiny greens, limited land for holes, and no irrigation system, necessitating the 1994 reconstruction. Under Heckenkemper's revision, the North Course became a demanding par 72 layout at 6,970 yards, easier from the forward tees but challenging for competitive players, particularly affected by wind off the lake.
The facility includes practice facilities with a driving range, putting green, chipping green, bunkers, and a 3-hole par-3 academy course. In 2021, a modern 18,000-square-foot clubhouse was completed featuring panoramic views of the golf course.
