Lagoon Park Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Montgomery, Alabama. Designed by Charles Graves of Atlanta and built in 1978, the course was developed on a scenic parkland area that was originally a swamp. The landscape features natural southern charm with fairways lined by 100-year-old oak trees, towering pines, flowering dogwoods, and California raindrop trees. Spring brings hundreds of blooming azaleas and flowering trees throughout the course.
The course plays to a par 72 and measures 6,800 yards from the back tees, making it walkable for golfers seeking a more active round. Featuring Tif Dwarf Bermuda grass fairways, the layout emphasizes ball placement and course management with numerous doglegs and tree-lined corridors throughout. The signature hole is the 550-yard par-5 15th, featuring a challenging double dogleg that requires a 270-yard carry over 150-foot pine trees to set up an eagle opportunity. The course hosts tournaments and offers memberships, golf lessons, and a clubhouse with dining facilities.
