The Coimbatore Golf Club is an 18-hole facility located in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, India. The course was established in the 1970s by Mr. Rajagopal and a group of enthusiasts who constructed the layout through trial and error on arid land leased from the Coimbatore Jail. The club originally began with a 9-hole course before expanding to the current 18 greens, becoming one of the first facilities in South India to offer a full 18-hole layout with greens at a time when options were limited.

The setting is characterized by a green expanse that provides views from the club's restaurant and playing areas. The facility includes a clubhouse that has been developed over time to match the quality of the golf course, as well as a driving range and coaching facilities. The course features a scorecard listing yardages and pars for each hole.

The club enforces strict local rules, including a prohibition on the use of mobile phones during play, a policy emphasized by the founder to maintain the spirit of the game. The facility hosts regular tournaments, with events such as the Carpe Diem Trophy and the KR CBE Open. The construction was driven by limited financial resources and a small group of golfers, yet it resulted in a top-quality course that stands as a significant landmark in the region's golfing history. The club continues to promote standards of conduct true to the spirit of golf, preserving the memory and principles of its founder.
