KOMA Country Club is a 27-hole facility located in Tsukigase, Nara City, Nara Prefecture, set within the natural landscape of the Tsukigase area. Designed by Gary Player and opened in 1980, the course features Bentgrass greens and offers three distinct nine-hole loops: the East, West, and South courses. The total yardage for the full 27 holes is 10,494 yards with a par of 108. The East Course presents a total yardage of 3,337 yards from the back tees, with a par of 36. It includes two par-5 holes, the 4th at 539 yards and the 8th at 537 yards, alongside four par-4s and three par-3s. The West Course is the longest of the three, measuring 3,460 yards from the back tees. Its signature challenge is the 3rd hole, a par-5 stretching 604 yards from the back markers, while the 7th hole offers a demanding 463-yard par-4. The South Course measures 3,298 yards from the back tees, featuring a 509-yard par-5 at the 9th hole and a 500-yard par-5 at the 4th. The club has a history of hosting significant professional events, including the 70th Japan Professional Golf Championship in 2002 and the Japan Professional Golf Grand Gold Senior Championship in 2002 and from 2004 to 2006. It also hosted the 85th Kansai Open Golf Championship in 2019 and the 38th Shinhandun Open in 2022. Each of the three courses provides multiple tee options, including regular, front, gold, and ladies' tees, allowing for varied yardages and difficulty levels.
