Jacksonville Country Club is the only private country club in Onslow County. The club was established in 1954 and was designed by George Cobb with each hole lined by tall, mature North Carolina pines. The course features 18 holes with a par of 72 and plays approximately 6,593 yards from the back tees with a slope rating of 123, suitable for golfers of varying skill levels.
The course is situated among Carolina Pines and Dogwood lined fairways with gently rolling terrain winding through strands of hardwood and pine. The course offers four different tee locations, from forward tees for super senior players or beginners to the Championship tees. As one of the first courses designed by George Cobb, it is designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels. The club also features additional amenities including dining facilities, a bar and grill, swimming pool, and tennis courts.
