Founded in 1974, The Club at Inverness boasts an 18-hole Championship Golf Course in South Denver. The course features 6,913 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70, with a course rating of 71.8 and a slope rating of 136. Designed by J. Press Maxwell, ASGCA, the Inverness golf course opened in 1974.
The semi-private golf course is beautiful, playable and challenging, requiring strategy and a thoughtful approach thanks to gentle but unforgiving slopes, rolling hills and deep bunkers, with water coming into play on 11 of the 18 holes. The greens are undulating and fast while the fairways are sloped, with terrain ranging from relatively flat to very hilly causing uneven lies, and water hazards that come into play on at least twelve holes, with many considering the demanding par-3 holes the most difficult aspects of the course.
The attached hotel is now operated by Hilton. The course serves both resort guests and members, with the club offering social memberships for Colorado residents which include several perks such as food and beverage discounts, pro shop deals, guest passes, and more.
