The Iberostar Bávaro Golf Club is an 18-hole, 72-par championship course located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, situated approximately twenty minutes from the airport. Designed by P.B. Dye, the layout is classified as a World Class Championship course with a rating of 71.8 and a slope of 122. The facility accommodates 144 players and features four sets of tee boxes in red, white, blue, and black to cater to varying skill levels. The fairways and greens are maintained using Supreme Paspalum grass. The course is characterized by undulating terrain that contrasts with level ground, incorporating natural elements such as lakes, streams, desert-like areas, and a waterfall. A defining visual feature is the presence of 105 white quartz sand bunkers set against the green turf. The course is open daily from 06:30 to 18:30, with tee-off intervals every ten minutes starting at 07:00, and an approximate round time of four and a half hours. Services at the club include a driving range, chipping and putting greens, a restaurant, a bar, and a specialist shop. The course also features a private pool and offers snack and drink stalls during play. Free transfers are provided from participating Iberostar hotels, and the facility has been recognized as the Dominican Republic’s Best Golf Course in the 2022 World Golf Awards.
