The Barceló Bávaro Golf course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic in the Bavaro area of Punta Cana. Originally built over 20 years ago, the course was redesigned in 2010 by renowned architect P.B. Dye, who preserved the original essence of the layout. The course measures 6,655 yards from the professional tees and is noted as the most visited course in the Bavaro/Punta Cana area. The terrain is characterized by rolling fairways that traverse a lush mangrove forest, incorporating native plants and species throughout the design. The layout features 25 inland lakes and 122 strategically positioned bunkers, with meticulously manicured greens that adhere to high industry standards. The setting capitalizes on the natural beauty of the Bávaro area, blending the manicured playing surfaces with the surrounding coastal landscape.
