Horsham Downs Golf Club

Horsham Downs Golf Club is a nine-hole course established in May 1944, located on River Road on the banks of the Waikato River, northeast of Hamilton city in New Zealand. The club was originally founded by golfing enthusiasts on Aubrey Boyd's farm in Henderson Road, initially serving the local farming community before expanding to include members from Hamilton City in the mid-1960s. The course began with six holes in a single paddock before relocating to its current site on the Rototuna Domain in 1949, where members transformed a gorse and blackberry reserve into the present layout. Known throughout the Waikato golfing community as a friendly club accommodating all ability levels, Horsham Downs has developed into a popular course set within a picturesque riverside landscape. The club celebrated its 75th Jubilee in 2019, marking over seven decades of community golf and membership.
