The Hollow Creek Course is a par 71, 6,943-yard private 18-hole championship course at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation in Aiken, South Carolina. Designed by U.S. Open champion Fuzzy Zoeller and architect Clyde Johnston, the course features MiniVerde greens and 419 Bermuda fairways. The six final holes wind their way around the Hollow Creek Land Preservation, a 110-acre natural woodland and wetland area, with each hole carved from the existing landscape providing golfers with pristine views. The course is named after the bordering nature preserve and rests in South Carolina's first designated Bluebird habitat.
Hollow Creek presents a different style and feel from The Reserve's Nicklaus Design course and is noted as being a bit tougher though very fun to play. The signature hole is No. 16, a downhill par 3 with an elevated tee overlooking scenic Spalding Lake. The course carries a rating of 73.6 with a slope of 138.
The original ten holes opened in 2007, with two additional holes added in 2017, and the final completion of the course occurred after the 2008 recession halted initial expansion plans. The course fully opened in July 2020. The Reserve Club operates as a mandatory membership community where membership is available only to those who purchase homes or homesites.
