Hokkaido Golf Club is a 36-hole championship course located in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, featuring two distinct layouts totaling par 144. Designed by Katsutoshi Kato and constructed by Kumagai Gumi, the course opened in March 1991 across 287 hectares of rolling terrain. The course combines strategic design with natural landscape integration, offering varied playing experiences across its dual layouts. Built on hilly terrain, the course utilizes bent grass greens with bluegrass fairways and rough, providing firm playing conditions. The facility includes a substantial 5,017-square-meter clubhouse and modern amenities such as iPad-equipped motorized carts. Available in both caddie and self-play formats, the course accommodates two-player rounds and allows back tee usage for players with handicaps of 20 or lower. Operating year-round except during winter closure, Hokkaido Golf Club presents a strategically demanding layout that balances playability with championship-level challenge.
