Hillcrest Golf Club in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan has a rich history dating back to 1913, when it began as a nine-hole course in Ross Park. The layout was expanded to eighteen holes with a par 72 configuration totaling 5,662 yards in 1919. The course is noted as one of Western Canada's "sportiest" layouts, featuring a distinctive first tee positioned on a hill that requires players to drive over railway tracks to reach the fairway in the valley below.

The club has undergone several name changes throughout its history, including periods as the Elks' Golf Club during World War II and the Willowdale Golf Club from 1947 to 1968. It assumed its current name, Hillcrest Golf Club, in 2008 following an administrative reorganization that separated golf operations from curling facilities.

The course has hosted numerous provincial tournaments since 1922, beginning with the Saskatchewan Open Golf Championship. Notable tournaments include the Canadian Junior Girl's Championship in 2004 and provincial Senior Men and Women championships in 2008. The challenging terrain and valley setting continue to characterize the course's demanding layout.
