Heritage Isles is an 18-hole championship design par-72 course that plays at 6,976 yards from the Gold back tees and features some of the most challenging par-3s in Tampa. The course was designed by Gordon G. Lewis and Jed Azinger, who dedicated themselves to preserving the land's rustic beauty to create a course that is both challenging and enjoyable. Five sets of tees accommodate golfers of all skill levels, with the Blue tees at 6,236 yards and forward Red tees at 4,832 yards.

The course is set within native cypress heads and natural wetland areas and is one of the most demanding public golf courses in the Tampa Bay area. The course maintains 15 acres of natural wetlands and a thriving animal population. The signature hole is No. 7, a double dogleg par-5 measuring 558 yards from the back tees, requiring a long carry over wetlands from the tee and avoiding environmentally sensitive wetlands along both sides. Water comes into play on all 18 holes, with emphasis on the short game, and large, meticulously maintained greens reward precise putting.
