Heatherhurst Golf Club is home to two 18-hole championship courses in Fairfield Glade, a resort and retirement community located on the Cumberland Plateau in eastern Tennessee. The Brae and Crag courses were both designed by Gary Roger Baird and opened in the late 1980s. The Crag course features 6,171 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72, with a course rating of 69.6 and slope rating of 120. The Crag course is player-friendly with tee locations ranging from the most forward Green tees at 3,600 yards to the Blue tees at 6,200. On the Brae course, the front 9 provides the most challenge including a double dogleg fairway with two forced carries over Otter Creek on the 4th hole, said to be one of the toughest par 5's in Tennessee. The Brae is the only course in the area with Zoysia grass fairways, optimal during the hottest summer months. The 17th is the Crag's signature hole, with teeing areas that sit on an overlook, and although it is a short hole, driving accuracy is important. The Heatherhurst Brae course was named in the top 5 courses you can play in Tennessee by Golf Week Magazine.
