The first 9 holes of Druid Hills Golf Club opened for play in 1970, with all 18 holes completed in 1973. The course was designed by Leon Howard. The par is 72 with a length of 6,270 yards from the back tees. Located on the highest point in Fairfield Glade, Druid Hills provides several scenic views of the surrounding mountains. The course features rolling, tree-lined fairways, plenty of water, several doglegs, and undulating bent grass greens.
While Druid Hills is one of the shortest courses at Fairfield Glade, it also plays one of the toughest. Players are tested to choose the right clubs off the tee and into the greens. Ball placement off the tee is essential, and a driver is not always necessary. The course offers some of the most scenic views of the golf courses in the area. Druid Hills Golf Club is open to members, Fairfield Glade guests, and the general public with some restrictions.
