The Hartford Golf Club is a private members-only facility founded in 1896, making it the oldest golf club in the Hartford area. The course features 27 holes of championship-quality parkland golf laid out across three distinct nine-hole configurations, offering varied layouts within a single property. The course was designed by renowned architects Donald Ross and Devereaux Emmet, with modern enhancements by Bruce Hepner during a 2017 renovation.

Located in West Hartford, Connecticut on 134 Norwood Road, the course is set on parkland terrain characteristic of the New England region. The 2017 renovation significantly upgraded the course, including complete reconstruction of 132 sand bunkers, expansion of greens and fairways, and construction of 16 new tees with rebuilding of 29 existing tees. The short game practice facility was also renovated during this period.

Beyond golf, the club offers comprehensive recreational facilities including racquet sports (squash and platform tennis courts), a fitness center, and banquet and event spaces. The clubhouse itself has undergone multiple renovations, most recently in 2007 and 2017, and originally dates to 1955 when the club relocated to its current property.
